A rare 19th century cork diorama set in a twig frame, this quite remarkable creation was probably made in the Black Forest circa 1870.In the scene appears to be a beautiful church with a ceremonial procession with very unusual figures holding flags, below are some animals in the rockery stoat a rodent and a snake, to the right of the church is a river scene with a bridge and a cow crossing and a woods mans house with a flying dove above.
the twig frame has been brilliantly constructed from sticks to make a very robust frame.
condition : in remarkable condition for its age no signs of any damage.
